If home is where the heart is then I am always at home.

My heart is my own and there is peace, serenity, joy and love in my home!

I wrote this line just over two years ago as the universe granted me grace to see 2016 roll in full of possibility and desire. So eager was I to leave the past where it was and usher in the newness that I drove nearly 3 hours away to bring it in at a 24/7 spa, obviously ensuring calm and serenity. No way were my troubles going to follow me there! Right?! What with its plethora of poultice rooms, water massage therapy, body scrubs, every crystal & stone healing known to man, juice bar, bath house, saunas, etc. etc. etc. I would go in to the New Year a new person. Surely! I mean I had everything at my disposal to perform a spiritual exorcism or at least an emotional one. We’ve all been there I believe, some many times over. That place where we internalize everything that’s happening around us, outside of us, and subconsciously give it an emotional quality. Life itself becomes heavy when carrying around so much energy rather than allowing it to flow. (More on that later.)

Well, as life would have it, nothing changes unless you do. Write that down!!

Fast forward two years and some change (pun intended), here I am sharing with you the evolution of me. Because that’s exactly what this is… my life, constantly evolving. Glorious, messy, hilarious, traumatic, chaotic, beautiful transformation in progress! But it’s not just me, it’s you too! We are ever evolving creatures. If we were to pause occasionally to take in all the beauty that life has to offer, perhaps we’d be better able to flow with the changes of life.

What you can expect to find here as I attempt to recall and articulate the unfiltered version of my experiences thus far (besides run on sentences and unnecessary punctuation) is truth, fear, heartbreak, love, triumph, friendship, failure, trauma, joy and so much more …but most of all I pray you’ll find courage! I am still becoming all that I am, living my most authentic truth, journeying in power & passion and finding spiritual, mental, emotional & physical balance. If I can manage to encourage at least one other person to journey through life’s transitions with better perspective and perhaps a bit more grace, then my hiccups become not only lessons learned for me but a leg up for someone else.

Light & Love,

Kia

Our evolution may not look anything like we envisioned but here’s to embracing the journey!
